She sent my husband a message saying to have a nice life and blocked both of us. *shrug* Oh well. Whatever. She really hurt me when she brought my weight into it, and when she basically said we were taking advantage of his parents and that I’m a complainer who isn’t TRYING HARD ENOUGH to overcome my various mental health issues. I had a panic attack. I get depressed and get upset sometimes, because I KNOW this is how the vast majority of the world sees me. They see my weight and my lack of accomplishment and blame it on me. I’m not trying hard enough, I don’t have enough will power, I WANT to be miserable. It does not help my mood, but well, this is the world we live in.
I wish that I could tell your SIL how horrid she is right now.
You don’t owe anything to anyone. You don’t have to be thin, healthy, or neurotypical to deserve happiness and love. And you don’t have to work yourself to death for it, either. /hugs
I am looking for jobs in Anchorage, Seattle, and Vancouver (Canada). Where are some legit places I can search? It’s been a loooong while since I’ve done a job search that wasn’t for an adjunct position.
I’m kind of confused by Turkey refusing to air Eurovision because of two women kissing because, from my very limited exposure to Eurovision, it looks like it’s basically one fabulous gay party. With singing.
Two woman kissing? I didn’t even know…
They might be saying this, but there is already another reason for them to not air it. They refused to compete this year because they didn’t like how the voting was done, and because of the Big 5. Finland’s performance might be part of that decision not to air any more of it, but it’s highly likely that they’re using it as a cover.
I don’t know what any of this means! Oh, complicated Eurovision politics. :)
Turkey usually places very well overall in Eurovision.
The contest is divided into two semi-finals and one final. Countries who were not last year’s winner, or are not the Big 5, have to compete in the semi-finals to reach the finals round.
Turkey has been upset for some time regarding how votes are set up for the semi’s, and the Big 5 automatically advancing to the finals round. (They make the finals automatically because they contribute the most financially to the EBU, the organization that puts on Eurovision.)
Last year they placed 7th overall out of 42 countries, and decided to withdraw this year in protest of voting and the Big 5 placement.

Two woman kissing? I didn’t even know there was a performance with that. I don’t know the whole situation this year with Eurovision and Turkey..
